If your anything like me then the term Yuca is pretty much a foreign one. I guess you could say I've lived a sheltered life when it comes to food but then again I was very picky when I was younger and just plain old fearful of trying foods outside of my comfort zone. The first time we went out grocery shopping with this on our list I was in the little veggie section that has "unique" foods in it. We had no idea what we were looking for! So, out came the phones and google to find it out. Turns out that yuca is also known by another moniker, cassava.
Hey everyone, this is another one of those recipes that I learned during our 30 day diet reset! Which it seems that's going to be the trend this week because Thursday's post will also be one of Chris Kresser's. This recipe is amazing! It legitimately taste like the real deal. Who would have guessed!? Not me! There are no beans in this recipe no beans at all…instead it is zucchini!
Hey guys I have another easy one for you! I've always wanted to try making my own homemade mac and cheese since it is my fav! Especially if you mix in some peas and a little pepper… MMMMMMMM! Anyways...no matter how good that box mac and cheese is, that powdered cheese that comes in the packet has always seemed a little sketchy to me. I mean come on it can't be real cheese!
I am so excited to share this one with everyone! First of all, this is my first time making a gluten free bread. Second, I was so excited about this recipe because it has less carbs than "normal bread." Meaning the main ingredient in this bread is actually full-fat yogurt instead of flour! I also cut down on the carbs by using Stevia instead of sugar. Also, I don't know about you but we absolutely love all things citrus!
Here I am posting things late again. Sigh! I had a good reason though as I got distracted by Valentine's Day!! Despite being a week late in posting this I still wanted to wrap up our diet "reset." Overall I would say that it was very successful! Adam lost about 5 lbs over the 30 days and several inches combined around his body in size. We also feel a lot better in general!
I just couldn't resist trying this one out for myself! As soon as I saw it I knew it was perfect for me to try as a valentines day post! It's a simple 3 ingredient recipe that is great for any wine lover. Not the biggest wine fan? Buy some really sweet or really fruity wine then sweeten it up even more! It's that simple. But you all know that I love my simplicity.
Well we made it through week 3!! There really is less than a week to go because it's only a 30 day trial. I thought in the beginning that it would never be over…but here we are on the verge of adding back in foods starting mid-week. I have a feeling that next week's post is going to be more about the addition of foods than a 4 week recap. It should be more interesting that way though!
