Cranberry Cocktails!

Thanksgiving is right around the corner! Well actually it's tomorrow and I don't know about you and your family's traditions but we always come together on thanksgiving.  When we do there is always one thing we always have and that is a delicious sweet cranberry sauce.

I have decided that a nice fruity cranberry cocktail to go along with Thanksgiving dinner is in need!  It's really simple and all you need to do is keep a cup of those fresh cranberries set aside for the drinks!

INGREDIENTS:
  • 1 c fresh cranberries
  • 1/4 c sweetener (Honey, Brown Rice Syrup, Stevia or Xylitol all would be nice choices)
  • 2 tbsp water
  • lime and orange slices and blackberries (optional)
  • 8 shots vodka
  • 1 liter of sparkling lime water
METHOD:

  1. Take the cranberries, sweetener, and water and place in a small sauce pan.
  2. On medium heat, heat until cranberries start popping and water turns pink.  Stirring occasionally.
  3. While that's heating up, slice up a lime and orange.  Put most of the slices into an 8 cup or larger pourable glass container.  Also, don't be afraid to add some blackberries or raspberries.  Just throw whatever fruit seems fitting to you that you may have in the fridge.
  4. Once the cranberries are done pour them into the container and place in the fridge for a half hour to cool.
  5. Once cooled or ready to serve just add the 8 shots of vodka and the lime water.
  6. Serve on the rocks with some fruit slices for garnish and
  7. Enjoy! ((WARNING: This may help or hurt how well you get along with your family! ;)))
