This post today is going to be a little bit different than what I "normally" do. My life has been kind of exciting lately in the "diet" world! My coworkers have decided to hold a weight-loss challenge for a month. They will be trying to incorporate some of the guidelines that I follow.
The "diet reset" that Adam and I did about a month ago inspired someone else to try it as well! I really don't want to give too much of an introduction because her words speak strongly themselves but to give a little bit of a background. She was diagnosed a few years back as having a potential autoimmune disorder (Lupus) and she has been trying everything since then to try and feel better. She has lost 6 lbs since starting the "reset" and I'm so proud of her! Without further ado here is how her first few days went!
Less Goodies....More Veggies! |
It's been a busy week with the Final 4 for D3 college basketball and this past weekend the movie Divergent came out and my sisters' claim it's AmAzInG!! So now I'm dying to watch it! This recipe is one I've been wanting to share with you guys for quite a while. To me it seems to be the latest and greatest in not just the gluten free category but in the gluten free pasta category. So, I just had to try it out myself! The problem is the first couple of times it didn't turn out very well.
Adam's basketball team won the tournament that they played in last weekend which means they made it to the final 4! That also means that the day after we had to have a big championship breakfast! We made some delicious french toast a while back, and the pictures turned out fab. So, I thought I'd share it all with you!
Hey everyone I’m trying out something new today by writing
for my friends at Pairdd! We came
up with this one together thinking it might be helpful to have some snack ideas
for when you are on the go. With
spring just around the corner it seems that life always starts to get busier as
the snow melts.
Day 2 of beautiful spring weather and of course this time of year we all know that it's too good to be true. Tonight it's forecasted that we are going to get 4-8 inches of snow! Ugh! At least it's a little sign that spring might finally be on it's way and hopefully we won't get any more "polar vortexes"! St. Patties day is coming up too which is an excellent spring holiday and I do believe one of Adam's favorite.
I am just so proud of myself this weekend! ;) It has been pretty busy around here with Adam working basketball and it being March madness. It's finally starting to feel like spring so we also want to get time to be out and about. I've also been working on some potential big things coming up in the future that are very exciting for me. The main reason I'm proud of myself though is because despite all of that I still have lots of posts in the making!
Sometimes I sure do things a little last minute…like document and write my blogs the night before. What can I say though! I'm a busy person like I'm sure a lot of you are as well. Because I'm so busy it also makes me really tired so I'm one of those if I don't get 8 hours or more of sleep I become very cranky! Where I'm going with all of this is sometimes I don't have time to make breakfast or homemade snacks which led me to Larabars.
