We knew that our time in Florida was coming to an end as we prepared for our move to MI.  So, what better to do with the couple weekends we had left than to visit some sites that we had not been able to go to yet!  We decided that a day trip to Key West would be best for seeing some unique places and culture.  Well, it totally was!!
Other than it was sooooo HOT outside and the fact that we brought our dogs.  We ended up taking more of a driving tour while jumping in and out of the car to see some specific spots more up close.  We drove by the southern most point in the U.S.  The line for that was incredibly long and we were not going to wait in the heat for a picture without other people in frame...if that is even possible!?  We also visited Fort Taylor which was pretty cool but wasn't actually involved first hand in any battles... lame! ;)

I think the best part though was just randomly choosing to eat at Blue Heaven restaurant.  It had a little gated entrance on the sidewalk that lead to a really cool outdoor/backyard eating and entertainment area.  We also discovered the BEST KEY LIME PIE!!  I felt like I was in the show Dexter when he was trying to find the lady in the hospital the best key lime pie.  Well I did!!  Nananabooboo!  I know so mature of me but seriously!  This place should be on the top list of places to visit in Key West just because of this piece of key lime pie!

I'm going to leave the rest of the adventure story telling up to all the pictures below!  Make sure you go through all of them or you will miss the BEST KEY LIME PIE!!!  Hehehe!  I just had to leave the best for last!
