Breaded Morel Mushrooms - GF
Wednesday, May 21, 2014
Here's another Morel recipe for all those Morel lovers out there! It takes a little bit of effort and patience to get them this good but after taking the time to hunt for them this is nothing. I also found to really crank these puppies out it worked well to team up with another person.
I won't go on and on and on today because I am tired! I am currently sitting in a truck all day for my job just reading and doing pretty much whatever I want but with an hour drive to get there and an hour back and the heat added in...oh boy it took it's toll on me. ;) Adam on the other hand doesn't start work until next week and he enjoys eating these daily for his lunch!
INGREDIENTS:
- Gluten Free Flour Mix
- Morels
- eggs
- butter
- salt & pepper to taste
METHOD:
- I purposely didn't put any amounts to the ingredients above because there are no exact measurements.
- Rinse the morels very very well and place them on a paper towel.
- Heat the butter on medium heat in a pan on the stove to prepare for frying.
- In a bowl whip up an egg or two.
- In a zip lock bag place about a cup of flour to start with.
- Dip the Morels in the egg then place several at a time in the zip lock bag. Seal it and then shake.
- Lightly shake off the Morels again before placing in the pan with hot butter.
- Fry until golden brown.
- Remove and eat while warm.
- Enjoy!

For a little more zip, you can add your favorite mustard to the egg wash! ;)
